When I think of autumnal make up looks, they always seem to be heavier and extremely warm and, well, time consuming. And this look looks like it took a while too, but by using about 90% cream products, this quick cruelty free autumnal makeup look can be done in around 15 minutes.
QUICK CRUELTY FREE AUTUMNAL MAKEUP
PREP
Apply moisturiser, SPF and lip balm before starting makeup. I was born with dry lips, so they need extra attention in the cooler months. The lip balm I’ve been using recently is a very affordable one by Essence, but it has small exfoliating pieces in it and avocado oil, so it exfoliates and nourishes. I highly recommend it for anyone with dry skin/ lips, but due to the exfoliating pieces, it needs a little time to absorb and work its magic before you apply any lip products, otherwise, they’ll peel straight off with the exfoliating pieces.
EYES
- By Beauty Bay Fiery 16 – Shades Honey Roast, Hot Sauce and Chocolate Souffle.
- Bali Body Glow Sticks – Rose Gold (discontinued). Good alternatives are Made by mitchell Blursh Lights Liquid Highlighter in Penny From Heaven, or the Lisa Eldridge Elevated Glow Highlighter in Crystal Nebula.
Take honey roast all over the lid and through the crease, then add a second layer over the lid. Add a light layer to the lower lash line with a pencil brush and blend down lightly, with the excess on the brush. Mix hot sauce with a tiny bit of chocolate souffle and work that through the outer corner, blending roughly on the outer third of the eye. Take a small amount of hot sauce on the same pencil brush from earlier and that to the lower lash line, keeping it closer to the lash line than the previous colour.
Add a layer of liquid highlighter to the middle and inner third of the lid and lightly blend that in with your finger. Use a clean fluffy brush to blend in any harsh lines where the liquid highlighter and powder shadow overlap, and for any harsh lines on the outer corner.

Creams only take a few minutes to blend, and they’re great on dry skin. All of these formulas are very light and blendable but hydrating for a light dewy complexion.
LIPS
- Essence Lip Care Booster 10% Avocado Oil
- Essence Soft & Precise Lip Pencil – My Way
If there are any of the little exfoliating pieces left behind from the lip balm prep, wipe them away gently, then apply the liner across the whole lip. Top with another balm if it’s too dry.
