Fresh summer punch smoothie using an array of in season fruits, without a banana in sight.

Made creamy with Greek style yoghurt, three of your five a day, some omega 3 healthy fats from the flaxseed and the option of a scoop of protein.

The following information is based on two 300ml servings per recipe.

One serving of this recipe is 256 calories, 22g of protein and 7.5g of fibre. Each serving contains just over 50% of the recommended daily amount of vitamin C and the flaxseed is a source of plant based omega 3.

I used Alpro Greek Style for this recipe and the smoothie shown in the photos contains both of the optional ingredients.

How to store and does it keep

This recipe is best consumed straight away. Refrigerate any leftovers to be consumed the same day, but I don’t recommend storing them for any longer than that.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups frozen melon
  • ¾ cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup dairy free Greek yoghurt 240g
  • 1 splash non-dairy milk 1-2 tbsp
  • 2 plums
  • 1 scoop vegan vanilla protein powder optional
  • 1 tbsp flaxseed optional

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and mix until smooth. Depending on the size of your blender and how bulky the fruit is, you may need to blend some of the fruits before you add the remaining ingredients to reduce the volume.

Serve and enjoy!
